Chief Martech Officer is the First Company to Attain Inbound Organization Certification

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (May, 2019) – Chief Martech Officer, a marketing technology consulting agency and highly-rated Silver HubSpot Partner, is the first company to become Inbound Organization Certified. The certificate is awarded by SD Inbound Marketing, a 501c3 Non-Profit dedicated to providing Inbound Marketing education to San Diego professionals. The certification program is distributed using San Diego-based infrastructure company Portfolium’s student success network.


HubSpot Marketing Consultant Jen Bergren was the first individual to attain the certification, and through her, Chief Martech Officer became the first Inbound Organization certified company. Shortly after, CEO Nicole Pereira became the second individual to attain the certification.

Inbound marketing is a movement that emphasizes creating value and positive experiences for everyone who touches a business. It is a method of attracting, engaging with, and delighting customers in a way that makes them want to interact with the company.

Inbound is all about doing what’s helpful and human in business,” says CEO Nicole Pereira. “As buying behaviors change, it’s important that we meet customers on their terms. Happy customers, after all, are at the root of all growth.”

The certification is available to those who attend a live, 3.5-hour workshop led by HubSpot luminary Dan Tyre (one of HubSpot’s first hires). After that, attendees are invited to continue their education via an online course hosted by Portfolium. The participants learn how to build their company’s future around Inbound principles.

The course includes an online assessment of the company, podcasts, access to hundreds of hours of interviews, and readings from a book penned by Tyre and Todd Hockenberry. Upon completing the workshop and education segments, certificate-seekers then submit evidence of applying what they learned.
